Algarve Wednesday Walkers 2006-7
A new Blog for a new walking season. This Blog provides a resumé of the activities of those resourceful, daring and eco-friendly athletes who venture into the wilds of the Algarve, without maps, compasses, rulers nor protractors, and with just walking sticks and a motley selection of dogs for company - known as The Algarve Wednesday Walkers

The spelling on the caption should be with a capital F for French. After the walk, as is customary, a relatively serious conversation took place, this one being that of the comparative economics of posting letters and cards from UK, Germany, Portugal and, naturally, France. At this point, a claque of somewhat immature persons sitting in the corner of the Foz verandah essayed some rather juvenile doubles-entendres. The leader, Ian W,anxious to maintain the "bon ton" and high standards of the day, delivered a fittingly Calvinistic reprimand to the culprits. This is reflected in the photo; David L. likewise considered their remarks to be not worth the attention of the discerning Grauniad reader.
Not only not worthy of the 'discerning
Grauniad reader' but I wonder whether it is worthy of 'the discerning Glob reader'!!
